Hafa Adai Flyers,
Good news – CAL has set dates to begin negotiations: April 24-25. We won’t be far behind. Please make sure that you are getting these email “Blasts.” Talk to each other and let me know who is not on the list.
THIS is where the new news will break. I promised to keep you informed: THIS is the place were I will post.
Let’s keep the conversations going!
April 18th 4-6 p.m.
Airport Conference Room Meanwhile, here is the latest posting from the CAL MEC:
Dear Continental Flight Attendants,
Your CAL MEC and the company have agreed to commence negotiations on April 24th and 25th in Chicago. Your negotiating team is ready to meet the challenges of securing essential items and getting an agreement that provides us a secure path to joint negotiations. This will be the first of many negotiating sessions required to meet our goals. If and when an agreement is reached, the full s-CAL membership will have the opportunity to vote in a standard AFA contract ratification process.
Your solidarity is essential to the process – please keep yourself informed and understand that your CAL MEC is laser focused on protecting what we value based on the 30,000 proposals submitted by the membership. Our current negotiations are narrowly focused on essential items and protections necessary for us to move forward in this merger. These essentials include job security, flexibility, pay, and profit sharing.
